Cherokee update

Well we had FLAGS yesterday and it was fun as always! It was hotter then Hell!! Gotta love it! So Cherokee is doing great! She has been walking great, just getting sick of being in a stall 24/7! We do take her out and walk her and put her on the walker but she just want to be out hanging with the boys! Her she is Saturday just chilling and eating some grass!!
So I forgot to update the pictures last week but here is the update from today at the Vet clinic! It is looking awesome there is only a tiny spot that still has bone showing!! But other then that it is healing great!

These pictures were as we were taking the wrap off so we still have not got her leg cleaned up yet!

I think the pictures are awesome! So hope everyone enjoys them like I do!!

Wow I can not believe that is is going to be the 4th of July already this weekend... Seems like it was just raining the other day like Spring!... Oh wait that cuz it was! Anyways hope everyone has a great 4th and enjoys the weather! I know we will be enjoying it Barrel Racing!!

New Pics!

So we finally took a few new pics today! This one is my favorite! But we could have got a few better ones! She just woke up form a nap and we went outside to play! Brit is getting to be such a big girl now! She is not a baby anymore!
I love this one! She looks like she is telling Drake something and he looks like he is listening to her!

Oh so TIRED!!!

So Brit woke up way early today... 7am! Yep that is early for Britlyn! We played hard and even did some coloring! Well she started to get tired so I got some lunch for her!! Well all she could make it threw was a few bites and her MILK! This is her trying to finish her MILK! Sorry I could not help but video it! Never laughed so hard in my life! ENJOY!

Weekend!!

Well our weekend was busy to say the least! Poor Brit was not happy really all weekend~ She had her 15month shots on Friday and then we were Barrel Racing all weekend so it was along weekend for her! Poor girl.. She did not want to really take a nap and it freaking rained the whole day Saturday!

So Saturday pretty much sucked as far as barrel racing went! Scooter was a Ass Saturday and did not want to listen to me going in and then really did not run cuz he was mad at me I guess! So we ended up hitting 2 barrels Saturday. Then came Harley! He is so funny! He has not ran a barrel in competition since April! So I did not know what he was going to do or think! But he did the pattern! He just SLOW loped it though! plus I hit a barrel! Saturday really did suck!

Sunday they ran from the end to the first do I was towards the end! So Harley was first! Terry and I talked about how I should really actually ride and push him! So that's what I was going to do! Well he ran great! Could have pushed him alittle harder but he worked well :) But I still hit barrels! DAMN it! but he really improved his time he would have ended up in the bottom of the 2d. Good Job Har!

Scooter then ran next! He warmed up much better then he did Saturday and we were first after the drag so that was even better he did not have to sit under there having to hear all the other horses running! Anyways he did great. see video below! I was so proud of him and we could have even improved alittle more but HELL I will take it! He ended up winning a check in the 2d so that put us coming back in for the Short go. I was number 4 in the short go. Well he ran so hard out of the ally way.. he threw me forward and I got my belt stuck on my HORN.. urr! So we did not have a fast run at all! But he ended up winning a check in the 3d! So hell it was all okay!

Glad we got to hang out with friends can't wait tell the 4th now! Hope my boys will work good again!

Crazy week!

Well it has been one of those weeks! So I am rather glad it is FRIDAY~!! Lets see besides all the fun I have had at the Vet this week.. Brit got her Crib changed to the Toddler Bed Sunday!!! She has done great with it, the first night was alittle hard! She woke up twice but was great other then that!! Well since the first night she has not woke up at all...!! BUT.... Every morning and before we go to bed we check on her and she is on the floor! I guess she likes sleeping on the floor better then her BED! Little weirdo!
As far as Cherokee goes she is doing GREAT! Way better then I would have thought! She is putting full pressure on her leg and is not lame at all.. So I am very excited about that. She is really wishing she was in the pasture though and not in a stall!
Today Brit went for her 15month check up!! All was great! She is a whole 22lbs! & 32inches so tall and skinny! Her weight is in the 25% and her height is in the 90%!!! Maybe if she did not RUN all day long she might be just a little heavier!
We are going Barrel Racing all weekend so that should be FUN! I just love Western Nationals! Scooter does great in that little pen and well it will be Harley's first time so I am excited to see how it goes!
They boys were so nasty dirty today for the last week of rain so they got bathed today! They look beautiful I might add! Plus they will be clean for the race! They are also not too happy cuz they are also stalled up with sheets on! So I don't have to clean them a ton tomorrow.. I am lazy and we have to leave so early!

VET.. WARNING kind of GRAPHIC!

Well let me just say it has been one of those weeks already! My HELL it's only Wednesday! So last week Harley got a abscess on his shoulder that would not go away and after meds etc.. We had to pop it! So that was Mondays adventure for Britlyn and I! Well he is all better now and working great again so we will see how the weekend goes for him! We had a few days without rain finally so that has been great! Well tell today anyways! We have had tons of rain and hail!
So you may remember that I have my parents Mare here and I have been working with her and riding her everyday and she has been doing wonderful. This is Cherokee she is such a beautiful girl! Plus looking great I might add!

Well she got the day off today because of all the rain well lets just say we had a scare at that. AGAIN.. maybe alittle Graphic! I went out to hook then all to the walker and well this is how Cherokee looked. We were on a mad dash to the Vet. Here our her two pics I got with my phone as we pulled up. This is the inside of her right hock. Can not see well with the picture but after we got it cleaned up we could touch and see her Bone.

Another picture alittle further away. It is amazing the whole time the Vet was working on her she never moved. She has still not taken a sore step thank god. But she will be off for awhile.

The funniest part of all the thing that was the worst on her was bandaging her up! She hated it and would not stand still to save her life. Here is her new wrap she is sporting around!

So sorry know new pictures of Britlyn I just have Horse pictures and I find them to be pretty COOL too! So i will be adding more every few days to let everyone see how she is doing!

NEW PICS!!!

Yahoo FINALLY a day without Rain... so far anyways! We have had a great day so far! I was able to ride all the horses and not even get rained on!! :) Plus Brit was able to go outside and play alittle bit!!! Now all I have left to do is mow the lawn!

Update!

Okay so we are alive just busy busy! Lets see over the weekend we went Barrel racing and my parents came up so that was fun! I took My parents big paint Mare for 30days so we will see if in 30 I want to send her back or not! She is such a great Mare! Plus I have really enjoyed riding her!
So anyways got see see lots of friends over the weekend I have not seen in awhile so that was fun! Hung out with Tori and the kids last week one day plus they came up to the Rodeo so that was nice to see them.
Terry has been working like crazy and just sick or the Rain like everyone else! Know big plans for this weekend! Terry going to do some work on the Bronco and I will be riding horses getting ready for our busy weekend next week! Barrel racing @ Western Nationals which is always fun! Plus I will be helping pack flags @ the Rodeo with one of my favorite friends!! Love ya Darb!
So sorry I have know new pictures of miss Brit. With all this rain we have not been able to play outside!
Oh I forgot!! We also Branded our horses last week!! They look great I will have to remember to take a picture!
